Hi! I’m planning dining ressies for our trip in Oct. We will be in WDW for 1 week, but are doing a split stay. Can I make reservations for 10 days from the beginning of our stay, including the days that we will be in a different WDW resort? Thank-you!

Bonjour, Andrea! It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that I welcome you back to planDisney!

I absolutely love a split stay, where my family and I stay at two (or more!) different Disney Resort Hotels. With varying theming, amenities, locations and dining options, a split stay is like two pixie-dusted vacations in one! If you’re anything like me, food is a big part of the fun of a Walt Disney World vacation. So, let’s make sure you know when to book your dining reservations for your upcoming magical adventure.

As a Guest of a Disney Resort Hotel, you can make your dining reservations for your entire length of stay (up to 10 days) 60 days before your arrival. However, since you have two different Resort stays booked and two different arrival dates, you will have two different dining reservation booking windows.

If I have your arrival date correct, your dining reservation booking window opens at 6:00 a.m. EST in a few days, on August 21, 2025, and you will be able to make dining and Enchanting Extras reservations for your first Resort stay (checkout day included!). Then, 60 days before your second check-in date, you'll be able to make your reservations for the second half of your split stay. Happy booking, and bon appétit!

I have a little dining reservation tip for you, Andrea! Plan any must-do dining experiences towards the end of your stay. Since you can book your reservations for your length-of-stay, booking towards the end increases your chances of snagging the dining reservation of your Disney dreams. In your case, I recommend enjoying your favorite restaurant on the day you switch Resorts if that works with your plans. On the day my family and I switch Resorts, we love to sleep in a bit, enjoy a fabulous breakfast at our Resort, have Bell Services transfer our bags to our new Resort, and excitedly start the second leg of our adventure.  Wishing you luck and pixie dust!

I hope this helps, Andrea, and I'm wishing you the most magical and memorable upcoming vacation, full of food and fun. Please feel free to stop by any time with any questions you may have. Put our service to the test!

    Be our guest,

    Mandy
