Hello, Amanda!
I’m thrilled to hear you have a trip to the
Disneyland Resort in the works! If this will be your first visit, I think you’ll love the magic of exploring Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park!
Yes, you can upgrade your 1-park per day ticket to a
Park Hopper ticket upon arrival by visiting a Main Entrance Ticket Booth located in the Esplanade between the two theme parks. You'll be responsible for paying the difference between the
theme park ticket you already purchased and the price of the upgraded 2-day ticket at that time. The Park Hopper privilege will be added to the whole multi-day ticket, not just the second day. So, if you're sure that you'll want to park hop at some point during your visit, it’s best to add that option as soon as possible since the upgrade cost is the same whether you use it on one or both days.
I do recommend opting for a Park Hopper if possible so you’ll have access to
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park throughout the day, with the privilege of moving back and forth between the two adjacent theme parks (as capacity allows) to maximize your time. The main entrances of the parks face each other and are just a minute or two apart on foot!
I hope this information helps, Amanda, and that your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is a dream come true! Please don’t hesitate to send more questions to
planDisney as your vacation approaches.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
