Hey there Kelly,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much to reaching out to me with your question! I'm thrilled to see that your magical trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is coming up in just a few days - how exciting!
When it comes to bringing
service animals into the parks, the helpful resource page on the Disneyland Resort website says that "Only trained service animals are permitted inside the Disneyland Resort or on Disney transportation vehicles." It also mentions that a few other guidelines that may be helpful as you consider where your service animal is at in their training to ensure they align with those guidelines!
Additionally, I wanted to also call out that the guidelines also state that "Service animals must remain on the floor."
I definitely want to make sure you get your questions answered, but since it sounds like you have some nuances to your specific situation with your furry friend in training, I would recommend reaching out to a Cast Member to discuss in a bit more depth. You can email them at
disability.services@disneyland.com.
Since it looks like you'll be visiting in just a few days, you'll be arriving in the midst of some really fun
Star Wars day celebration merchandise including some of the coolest popcorn buckets that I think I've ever seen (though I'm biased as a Star Wars nerd). Make sure to keep an eye out for all the fun around the parks.
Thanks again for your question, Kelly! I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip to the Disneyland Resort.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
