I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney, Teosha! The idea of your first visit as a grown-up (only in age, not in heart) to
The Most Magical Place on Earth makes me emotional! And you're taking your two-year-old? Oh my goodness, this is going to be the most amazing trip!
You'll want to begin by choosing your dates and where you'll stay, and it sounds like you've got that covered. Next, decide how many days you'd like to spend in the theme parks and which parks you'd like to visit. Look up the attractions for each park online to see which ones you think you and your child will enjoy most. Check them out on your favorite social media platforms, too. Follow https://www.instagram.com/plandisneypanel/ for tips!
If I were in your shoes, I'd probably try to do two park days but split them by taking a day off in between. It would be magical to start day one in
Magic Kingdom Park. I wish I could be there to see your faces for that walk down Main Street, U.S.A. toward
Cinderella Castle! Pack a set of dry clothes because little ones love the
Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station in the Storybook Circus section of Fantasyland. On day two, I'd sleep in (do toddlers even do that?) and spend some time at
Disney Springs. In the afternoon, you could take a dip in the hotel pool, get a nap, a bath, and be all ready to head back to the theme parks on day three. I'd go with
Disney's Hollywood Studios. Your little one is sure to love
Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, as well as all the fun in
Toy Story Land. Ultimately, though, you know you and your little one best, so do what you think you'll enjoy most.
My best tip is to take it slow. You could stay a week and still not do it all. The magic is found - not when you rush from one experience to the next - but when you slow down and let it find you. And it will! Plan to bring (or rent) a stroller. Thousands of steps will eventually prove to be too much for little legs. And be sure to download the
My Disney Experience App. This is where you'll manage your tickets, mobile order your food, and find characters, among other uses.
One more thing, Teosha - remember that this is
your trip, too. I know that nothing can make you happier than seeing joy on your child's face, but I hope you experience your own joy, as well. I do hope we'll see you back here with any trip planning questions that may come up. You can always
reach out to me or any of us here at
planDisney. We are happy to help!
Always Dreaming -
Elizabeth
