Hello there, Elmer! On behalf of all of us, please let me be the first to welcome you to planDisney! We love helping Guests feel prepared and confident about their vacation planning, so I'll be happy to get you some answers to your questions today.
It looks like you're already familiar with the park reservation system at Disneyland Resort. This is wonderful because along with a valid admission ticket, all Guests will need to have a confirmed
park reservation for each day of their visit in order to enjoy the theme parks. Like you, I've been browsing the
theme park reservation availability calendar and I do see that there are several days in October with limited availability for the 1 Park per Day ticket type. In the case where you do not see the Disney California Adventure icon on the calendar, that does mean that there is no current availability in that park for that ticket type. However, I still have a couple of options you could consider if visiting
Disney California Adventure Park is a priority for you!
First, don't give up hope! It's not impossible to locate reservation availability as your visit date approaches. This is because some Guests will change their plans and cancel their reservations, which frees up availability for you to make your reservations. However, this is subject to availability and not guaranteed. Even so, I would still recommend checking back to see if Disney California Adventure Park opens up availability on your intended visit dates because you never know when your lucky star will appear! Alternatively, you could opt for the
Park Hopper ticket, which draws park reservations from a different inventory. Currently, I am able to view availability for both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park for Park Hopper tickets. With this ticket type, you would be able to select your starting park and then cross over between both theme parks during the eligible Park Hopper hours as many times as you'd like (subject to capacity)!
Elmer, I do hope this has been helpful, but if anything else comes up, please don't hesitate to
reach out again. I hope you have a frightfully delightful time visiting Disneyland Resort during
Halloween Time! There's so much spooky fun to discover during this season, I know you're going to love it.
Happy Haunts,
Tishra
