Hi Elizabeth! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It’s so great to hear from you again!
Early September has always been a great time of year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort in my opinion. The weather is still very warm and perfect for swimming and a lot of the southern kids have returned back to school.
While I can’t be 100% sure, most likely you will find the beautiful fall decorations up at Magic Kingdom Park for your daughter’s fifth birthday trip!
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party kicks off September 2, 2016 and typically the Magic Kingdom is all decked out for the party! If you are looking for something extra magical to celebrate your daughter’s birthday, I highly recommend this event…she can even dress up in her Halloween Costume! This party is something that my kids request to go to year after year!
The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival on the other hand doesn’t start until September 14, 2016. During your visit to Epcot you may find some of the decorations and topiaries throughout World Showcase and you may even see that the temporary Global Marketplaces are up but most likely they will not be open for service. Don’t worry though because you can still find plenty of delicious food and adult beverages from around the world! The “slush” (Grey Goose Citron, Vodka, and lemonade slush) Les Vins de Chefs de France, Cucumber Margarita at La Cava del Tequila, and Guava Margarita at the Margarita Stand located outside of the Mexico Pavilion are some of my favorite treats!
I hope that you and your family have an Unforgettable time! Happy Birthday to your sweet Princess!
