I'm planning a cruise for 2018. I'll have a 3 year old and almost 1 year old. Do I need to bring both car seats for the Disney shuttle transfer (we would be flying) or can I reserve car seats through Disney?

Welcome aboard, Jessica! It is so exciting to already be looking forward to a sailing with Disney Cruise Line in 2018! It's always best to plan as far out as possible, as you'll get the best selection for itineraries, staterooms, and all the fun extras of sailing with Disney.

Disney Cruise Line offers Ground Transfers from the Orlando International Airport and Port Canaveral, as well as transfers from the resorts at Walt Disney World to and from Port Canaveral. In their other home ports Disney offers ground transfers as well. They truly make it super easy to transition from land to sea and back again. These Ground Transfers are on motor coaches, so the seats are not equipped to hold car seats. Just as in Disney's Magical Express motor coaches that take guests from the Orlando Airport to the Disney Resorts, guests cannot lock car seats into the seats of these buses, so any car seats that are brought along would be stored with luggage under the bus. Young children can sit on the lap of a parent. I really enjoyed this when we traveled to Walt Disney World and sailed with Disney Cruise Line when my kids were younger, as hauling those car seats through the airports and stowing them in the rooms can be a hassle. Unless you plan on staying before or after your cruise and need the car seats for car trips in the area, there is no need to bring those along.

Have fun planning all the fun that you'll find when you set sail with Disney Cruise Line, Jessica!
