Hi! I’m planning on a character lunch at Chef Mickeys sandwiched btwn two park days. On that “off” day, can I ride the monorail to the contemporary from the MK bus drop off? (Staying at an outside hotel) thanks!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jessica!

It sounds like you have a very magical visit planned! Taking a day off between adventure-filled, busy theme parks days is a great idea! I love having some time to rest and enjoy all the magic there is to see outside of the parks!

Jessica, you are absolutely welcome to use the Monorail during your visit to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. I love getting to explore the Walt Disney World Resort hotels during my stays so I can start dreaming of future visits. The monorail resort hotels are my favorite! Be sure to stop in and visit Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Feel free to explore the grounds and take photos. There are some stunning photo-ops at all three of these resorts. Oh, and if you saved some room for dessert after your yummy meal at Chef Mickey’s, the Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian resort is my favorite spot to get my favorite Disney treat, DOLE WHIP! YUM!

Thanks for stopping by! For any additional planning tips or questions, please come back and see us.

    See ya real soon!
