Hi, I'm planning to celebrate my daughter's 15 years at Disneyland. It will be possible to take pictures of her with her dress in the park, get photos with the characters. Cake and dinner

    Hi Nancy!

Thanks for coming to planDisney with your question!

The Disneyland Resort is the perfect place to celebrate your daughter’s 15th birthday! It’s such a magical place! Disneyland and birthdays go together like a Mickey-shaped pretzel and mustard! You can have one without the other, but they're better together!

I hope you heard the good news that the Disneyland Resort has announced plans to reopen on April 30th! So, the parks will be open in time for your planned arrival date! I have a few suggestions to make her birthday extra special! First, be sure to stop by Guest Relations for a complimentary birthday button! Cast Members love to join the celebration by wishing guests a Happy Birthday!

If you’d like to make a special dining reservation, I suggest Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure Park or Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland Park. Both restaurants feature unique decor and both are right on the water. When making a dining reservation on the Disneyland website or the Disneyland App, you have the option to add a birthday cake to your reservation. You may also call Disney Dining at (714) 781-DINE (714-781-3463) to add one. If required, a special diet cake order can be placed by emailing Special.Diets@disneyland.com with your request at least four weeks in advance of your dining reservation.

You’re certainly welcome to take pictures to commemorate your daughter’s special occasion! Make sure you take advantage of the Disney PhotoPass Photographers! They are always willing to capture special images for you! And while your daughter is welcome to wear a dress, make sure it does not drag on the ground and create a potential trip hazard. This type of dress is not allowed

Lastly, Character interactions will look a little bit different with theme park reopening. Due to physical distancing guidelines, you will have an opportunity to see your favorite Characters from afar. But up close and personal photo opportunities will not be available for now.

I hope your daughter has a wonderful birthday and an unforgettable visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
