Hello, Robert. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question about upgrading your
Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets.
Park hopping is my very favorite way to spend a Disney day and I think you would enjoy it too, Robert. However, you cannot upgrade just one ticket from your package to a park hopper. It's an all-or-nothing system. If you want to upgrade, you will need to pay the price for a 5-day park hopper. The good news is that the more days you purchase a ticket for, the less expensive each day becomes. Does that make sense, Robert? I sure hope so! You can upgrade your tickets anytime before your trip or once you are on vacation at Walt Disney World but again, even if you are there and have already used a day or two of your tickets and try to upgrade to the park hopper option, you'll be charged for the length of your tickets.
Park hopping looks a little bit different than it did before. Here's how park hopping is currently working:
- Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Guests wishing to park hop must make park pass reservations for an initial theme park to visit each day
- Guests must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation before continuing on to other theme parks
- After the initial park pass reservation each day, no additional ones need to be made to park hop
- Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evenings.
If you truly have your heart set on park hopping but don't want to upgrade your full ticket, you could consider extending your trip and purchasing an additional one-day park hopper ticket. I think, however, the better option is to go ahead and upgrade your whole vacation package. Park hopping is really worth the extra money in my opinion.
I hope this helps you decide on what you should do about your tickets, Robert. If you have any other questions, please stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have a great day!
