Hi there, Denisse! Welcome to planDisney. You must be getting so excited about your trip in May. I just have to say you have great timing - there are lots of spectacular things returning to the parks this spring! More on that later ... let's get your
tickets all squared away first!
I absolutely love Park Hopper tickets, especially at the Disneyland Resort. A few panelist friends and I were just visiting and discovered that it takes just one minute to walk from the entrance of Disneyland Park to the entrance of Disney California Adventure Park. With your Park Hoppers, you can cross between them as much as you like after 1 p.m. each day. When purchasing multi-day tickets, you would need to choose between both days being either the One Park Per Day or the Park Hopper tickets, the system does not allow for upgrades to just one of the days. Alternatively, you can consider purchasing two single-day tickets, one of each ticket type. It may be worth doing a quick
cost comparison as oftentimes there's a little touch of Disney magic and purchasing a 2-day Park Hopper ticket is more cost-effective than doing one of each. Just a little pixie dust for you!
Ok, now on to the fun stuff! You will be back just in time to see the nighttime spectaculars light up the night! April 22nd will see the return of
World of Color at Disney California Adventure Park. Your classic and current favorites retold through water, projections, and music, lighting up Paradise Gardens Park. Disneyland Park will see the
Disneyland Forever fireworks once again light up Main Street, U.S.A. and Sleeping Beauty Castle in a completely immersive experience filled with magic. And get ready, the
Main Street Electrical Parade will be back for its 50th-anniversary revival, complete with a stunning finale float featuring
Moana,
Encanto,
Coco,
Raya and the Last Dragon, and more, celebrating togetherness in the art and style of Mary Blair's "it's a small world". It's going to be spectacular!
Denisse, no matter how you chose to enjoy the parks, there will be magic around every corner. Be sure to take a little bit of time to slow down and enjoy some quieter moments and let the magic settle in around you. Some of my favorite things to do in these moments are listening to
The Dapper Dans on Main Street, U.S.A. or taking the time to explore the
Animation Academy in Disney California Adventure, or enjoying a delicious, fine dining experience in Old Hollywood at the
Carthay Circle Restaurant. Magic Awaits!
