I'm planning to buy Florida Resident tickets for my daughters who are 12 and 13. Being Adult tickets, How do I verify Florida Residency online for them? Once verified online, do we need to verify anything in person once at the park to use them?

    Hiya Tara!

Welcome back again to planDisney! We love seeing familiar "faces" here and I hope you remember us again!

Florida Residents have so many great offers that are available just for them. I sometimes wish I was retired and ready to live out my Florida Resident fantasies but alas, here I am. As a Florida Resident, proof of residency is required when purchasing these special resident tickets, and this can be done online when making your purchase. During the check-out process, there will be a section where you can supply your Florida resident information and it will through magic and technology verify you digitally.  For this to work you will need a valid Florida driver's license, a valid Florida state-issued ID card, or a valid Florida-based military ID. The system will verify you online and since your children are not legally adults, they will be verified as well. As we all know, a Disney-ticketed adult (anyone 10 and up) is not the same as a legal adult who should have some form of identification. I must say though, people under the age of 18 who are Florida residents need to be accompanied by an adult who is a Florida resident when using these tickets. I suggest that the adult should have their proof ready if needed for that first day in the Parks. It is most likely not going to be an issue but it is always possible that proof can be asked for again.

If you are using some other form of proof of residency other than the three mentioned above then residency will have to be proven in person when you arrive. The adult will have to show their proof while the people under 18 accompanying them will not have to. Once it is verified that first day the tickets will be good to go for the rest of your trip.

I hope this helps and you all have a fabulous time!

    Happy Planning!
