I’m planning on building a lightsaber on an upcoming trip. I’m nervous about getting it back home myself, can I get it shipped to the UK from the droid depot? Thanks!

Hey there Poppy and welcome to planDisney!

Congratulations on your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. I have a September trip planned myself so I totally understand your excitement. And reserving a spot at Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers in Disney's Hollywood Studios is really going to add an out-of-this-world touch to an already wonderful experience.

While shipping is currently not available to the U.K. you needn't worry. You can still get that newly built lightsaber back home in one piece...or in this case possibly 2! You may find it helpful to separate the blade from the hilt to make it a little shorter. I'd definitely suggest stowing it in your carry-on luggage to avoid some of the rough handling that checked baggage is subject to in the airport. I've also seen it suggested to wrap the blade in some clothing or a towel for a bit of added protection. These ought to get your new lightsaber back home to your galaxy far, far away. You'll be fighting the First Order again in no time!

Poppy, I hope I've been able to help you today. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop by for another chat!

May the Force be with you!
