I’m planning on bringing my golf cart with me to fort wilderness. It’s a gas golf cart. Is that ok? Are there any requirements to bringing your own golf cart?

    Howdy Ashley!

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is my favorite at Walt Disney World!  I am always looking forward to my next camping or cabin stay in the gorgeous nature of Disney.

Having a golf cart at Fort Wilderness is always a "must-do" for my family.  We love the ease of getting around by ourselves and not having to rely on the buses, plus, they're fun!  Guests are allowed to bring gas golf carts for their Fort Wilderness vacation, but they must adhere by the same rules as Guests who are renting one from the resort.  You can pick up a rules sheet when you check-in for your vacation at the front desk.  The most important of these rules is that they can not exceed 20MPH, must have head and tail lights and children are not allowed to drive them at any time.  There are no refueling stations at Fort Wilderness.  If you have more questions about your specific golf cart, I highly recommend calling the Bike Barn at (407) 824-2742.

Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning or Fort Wilderness questions.

    Have a magical day!
