I’m planning on bringing my film camera to Disney world next month and I’m well aware of the security checkpoints throughout. Im worried about my film getting ruined from the x rays and am curious if they’ll let me in with a bag check alone? Thanks

    Hi Christian,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question!

Christian, that’s really cool that you’ll be bringing a film camera on your next vacation! When you approach the checkpoints, I suggest you talk to one of the security Cast Members, share your concern about your film, and follow their direction.

No promises here, but maybe they’ll be able to have a different process for your camera to go through while you walk through the machines. I would be prepared to take the camera out and have the film separately so they can see each part. Again, you’ll want to follow their direction, this may not be a possibility so be prepared that you might need to go through as you normally would.

I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is useful as you think about your next trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any other planning or vacation questions, please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
