Hi, there!
Ruth, I'm so excited to hear you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. And it sounds like you'll have
little ones in tow! You are sure to make lots of magical memories together.
When my boys were little, a double stroller was an absolute must-have for our family's Disney vacations. Exploring the theme parks requires a lot of walking, and those little legs tire easily! Even after they had long outgrown using the double stroller for outings at home, we still took our City Mini Double on our Disney vacations, and they would take turns sitting in the second seat next to their baby sister.
To answer your question, there are size restrictions for bringing a double stroller into the theme parks.
Strollers must be no larger than 31" in width and 52" in length. Additionally, stroller wagons are not permitted. Keep in mind that strollers must be folded prior to boarding a Walt Disney World Resort bus; you'll want something that folds quickly and easily if you plan on using this mode of transportation!
One of my best stroller tips is to take something along with you that will make your stroller easy to spot. There are designated stroller parking areas throughout the theme parks, so you'll want your stroller to stand out among a sea of others! I always attach a few Mickey Mouse ribbons to the handlebars, but I've seen Guests use balloons, nameplates, and even battery-operated twinkle lights. I also recommend having some type of stroller cover on hand in case it rains. There are many specially designed rain covers available for strollers, but I've found that inexpensive ponchos work just as well!
