Ahoy, Snithda!
I'm so glad you stopped by to see us here at planDisney as you finish preparing for your Disney Cruise Line vacation. Since your cruise departs very soon, I'm going to channel my inner Lightning McQueen to help you get your answer faster than fast and quicker than quick!
Snithda, when reviewing the list of
Prohibited and Restricted Items, you'll notice that you may bring non-perishable food items in their original, factory-sealed packaging on the ship. Anything you bring on board must be in your carry-on luggage and consumed on the ship or remain unopened for disembarkation. I chatted with a Cast Member and confirmed that you should be fine to remove your individual protein shakes from larger packaging cartons as long as each shake remains unopened and factory-sealed. While I haven't personally cruised with protein shakes, we have traveled with snacks and baby food items for our kids. Like you, I wanted to save space in my carry-on and have often removed items like baby food pouches from larger cardboard boxes to make them easier to fit in my bag.
With your departure date quickly approaching, now is the perfect time to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App if you haven't done so already. This will be your go-to resource during your cruise for important information, including entertainment, activities, dining details, safety drills, and much more! It's also where you can
book a placeholder reservation for a future cruise. This is one of my favorite ways to
save money on our next Disney Cruise Line vacation. . .and it makes disembarkation a bit easier when I know that another magical sailing is in our future!
I hope this information has been helpful, Snithda, and that you enjoy a wonderful vacation! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!
Bon Voyage!
