I'm planning on booking a trip at the end of August. I was wondering how the crowds are at that time of year? I know that a lot of schools go back into session around that time so I was hoping that it might thin out the crowd.

    Hi Milinda,

You are right on.  The crowds are going to thin out quite a lot around the very end of August.  Children will already be back in school or will be preparing to go back soon.  The temperature is pretty high and there tends to be more rain.  You will be in the middle of hurricane season and as such, the weather can be unpredictable.

My husband and I traveled during August a few years before we had our daughter.  We had a blast!!  We ran around in the rain with our Mickey Mouse ponchos.  We got a walk up lunch reservation at Cinderella's Royal table because everyone else had left the park.  We went on every single ride, some many times in a row.  If you can handle the rain and don't mind wearing flip flops the end of August can be the perfect time for your vacation.

    Thanks for the question,
    Michelle
