Hi there Annelyse, and welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks for sending your planning question our way. Like you, I'm also a member of the
Annual Passholder family. Isn't it the best? Since my husband and children aren't part of that particular family, they need regular theme park admission when we travel together, so I can help you navigate this situation.
When you reserve a
Walt Disney World vacation package that bundles a resort room and theme park admission, all Guests staying in the same room must purchase the same ticket type. Instead of a vacation package, you'll need to make a
room-only reservation for this stay. After typing in your dates and selecting a resort, you should see an option to make a room-only reservation above room types. Make sure to log into your My Disney Experience account as an Annual Passholder to take advantage of any
special offers.
After reserving your room, use the Parks & Tickets drop-down menu on the
Walt Disney World home page and select "
Theme Park Tickets" to purchase and link a ticket for your travel companion. If you plan to visit more than one theme park per day, don't forget to add the
Park Hopper option to your friend's ticket. Your Annual Pass includes Park Hopping, and now that we can bounce around from park to park
any time of day, this add-on is even more valuable!
I hope this has been helpful, Annelyse. Best wishes for a memorable visit, and if there's anything else we at planDisney can do to ensure things go smoothly, come back and see us again. We're all ears!
Betsy
