Hi! I’m planning a birthday dinner for my sweet 16. I want it to be a fancier sort of restaurant. Doesn’t have to be too fancy. My family includes a few picky eaters as well. Any price range or any park/resort would be fine. Where would you recommend?

I can’t imagine a better place to celebrate a sweet 16th birthday, Ashley. I’m so excited for you! You have so many great options to choose from. I think the hardest part will be in settling on just one.

The first spot that comes to mind is California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. I have enjoyed many a celebratory meal here and it fits the bill just perfectly. It boasts a gorgeous view of Magic Kingdom and is a very popular spot to enjoy a beautiful view of the Happily Ever After fireworks show during a well-timed reservation. The ambiance can definitely be categorized as the “fancier sort” without being overly stuffy. I think you’ll feel like a princess if you choose this option and it would be my first choice.

Another great option would be Cinderella’s Royal Table inside Magic Kingdom. Situated within Cinderella Castle, this restaurant definitely lends well to a celebration of the most royal variety. It’s a popular choice for birthday and anniversary celebrations as well as proposals.

Lastly, you might consider Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera. It, too, makes the most of an incredible view and offers Guests a delicious a la carte menu.

You cannot possibly go wrong by opting for any of these restaurants, Ashley. I bet you’ll make the perfect choice for your milestone birthday. I hope it’s an absolutely unforgettable celebration.
