I'm planning a babymoon and am looking for special experience recommendations. In particular, I know the World of Color desert party has high and low seating. Which seating has the better views? Thank you!

    Hello, Christine!

Welcome to planDisney, and congratulations on the upcoming arrival of your little Mouseketeer! Disneyland Resort is the perfect babymoon destination! When I was pregnant with my first child, I had the most incredible visit to Disneyland. While there, I also loved imagining what it would be like when I brought my baby to the Happiest Place on Earth for the first time. It's such a special time!

The World of Color Dessert Party is my favorite evening experience at Disneyland. Not only is there a selection of sweets, cheeses, and beverages, but there are also chairs! Sitting down in real chairs to watch World of Color - ONE is so much fun! When I'm not traveling with my kids, I prefer the high-top tables with director chairs. I'm fairly short, and I like the extra height. The low-top tables with folding chairs are better for my kids because it's easier for them to stand up and stretch their legs. However, I have enjoyed the World of Color Dessert Party many times, and all of the tables have great views of the show. There isn't a bad seat in the house!

I usually check in for the World of Color Dessert Party about 45 minutes before our reservation time. The Cast Members will often let Guests pick their table, based on availability. I like tables near the center, but as I mentioned, each table provides a good view.

For a celebratory dinner, I recommend the incredible food in Napa Rose. Sometimes Guests can reserve Chef's Counter seats, where the chef will create a personalized, multi-course menu that is guaranteed to be out of this world! To see if the Chef's Counter is available for reservations during your trip, call Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and ask to be connected to Napa Rose.

Another special experience that I recommend is Walt's Main Street Story Tour, which is a guided tour that ends with a visit to Walt Disney's apartment high above the Disneyland Fire Station. Being pregnant and standing in the same place where Walt Disney lived when he visited the parks brought tears to my eyes. It was a surreal experience!

Christine, thanks again for reaching out to us at planDisney, and best wishes are your new little one! You are welcome to contact me directly if you have additional questions!
