Hey Howdy Hey Aaron and welcome back to planDisney!
Springtime in central Florida is a Magical time to visit. Not only are we transitioning from the cold of winter to the warmth of spring, but we welcome in the new colors of a new growing season!
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival is one of my favorite festivals in EPCOT to celebrate this spectacular transition and get us ready for warmer weather to come! As you are planning your holiday to visit this festival, let's go over what we know so far and some guidelines for planning your trip.
As you mentioned Aaron, the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will run from January 17th to February 24th, 2025. This gives Disney a short time to turn things around for the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. In the past, this festival has kicked off anywhere from the last week in February to the first week or so in March. At this time, we do not have the official word from Disney on when this festival will bloom into existence but we can be sure it will be around this time. Disney has stated more information will be coming on the exact dates but right now we can just approximate.
If you want to be there for the exact opening date, your best bet would be to follow Disney on social media or at the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest details so you can book your trip accordingly. If opening day is not a necessity for you, I would wait to book until the middle of March when you know the festival will be up and running.
As you are planning, another helpful tool will be a Walt Disney World crowd calendar. You can do an internet search for this specific tool that will use future planned events Disney has released as well as historical data to help you plan your visit. In the spring, many schools in the US will be having their spring breaks and you will see a lot of ebb and flow of crowds in the parks. These calendars may come in handy to help you plan to manage crowds and your time in the parks. I have used the one from Undercover Tourist many times in the past and has been reliable for our trips.
Best of luck as you continue to plan for your Magical holiday next year. Please let us know if you have any other questions we can help you with!
To Infinity and Beyond,
Nick
