I'm planning our annual family Disney vacation, and we want to stay at Disney's Contemporary Resort in February! Eeek! Should I go ahead and book my vacation NOW, before it fills up? Or wait to see if Spring discounts get released first?

    Hi Lianne!

Welcome BACK to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I was fortunate enough to stay at Disney's Contemporary Resort for the first time myself this year, and Oh Boy, your family is in for a real treat! My preschooler absolutely loved watching the monorail go by and that it was so close. My husband loved that the refillable mug beverage station at Contempo Cafe was open 24/7 so he could get a late night soda. And I'm still dreaming of the scent in the lobby. You will want to bottle it up and bring it home with you. Ahhh, I'm so excited for you!

Yes, I would absolutely book your resort hotel reservation now. Like you said, this resort could fill up and then you'd be left without a bed for your head. But actually, you can have the best of both worlds. By reserving a room-only reservation now, you can call back to adjust your reservation later should any deals, discounts or special packages become available during your vacation window! Pro Tip: the room-only reservation can be made online, but to adjust it you will have to call the Disney Resort Reservation line at (407) 939-1936.

While you're waiting on the other details to fall in line, go ahead and book your Dining Reservations now, too. You're already within your 180 day reservation window, and dining reservations can be made without a resort hotel reservation or before you've even purchased park tickets. Dining Reservations do fill up fast too, and I'd hate for you to miss out on both your desired resort hotel and/or dream restaurants.

I hope this helped, Lianne, and We'll See You in 2019!
