Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Savannah!
Your question gave me the biggest smile because I absolutely love
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Even when I am not staying there, I make it a priority to visit. There are so many fun things to do there!
One of those super fun things happens to be horseback riding.
Horseback riding at Walt Disney World is just so magical, I am really glad you are interested in booking this experience. Horseback riding at the Fort takes place multiple times a day and is offered to Guests ages 9 and older. You can make reservations 30 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. Horseback riding is currently $55 per person but prices are always subject to change without notice.
On the day of your ride, Savannah, you'll want to keep in mind when getting ready that morning that you are required to wear close-toed shoes. While you can wear shorts, I recommend wearing something that comes down a little bit further to be a barrier between you and the saddle - sometimes it can be a little bit uncomfortable. You'll check-in for your ride a the
Tri-Circle-D Ranch. It's best to arrive about 30 minutes early to check-in, store your belongings and get ready to a rip-roarin' good time!
After your ride, I hope you'll take some time to explore the new
Tri-Circle-D Ranch barn. It's brand new and just gorgeous. You might even see some of Cinderella's ponies that reside there. They are spectacular!
Enjoy your horseback riding tour, Savannah. If you have any other questions as you plan your
Walt Disney World vacation, stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun!
