    I'm planing the trip to Disney World and Disney Dream with my 8 yr old son either in late Jan or early August. WIll it be too cold to play the slide in Disney Dream in Jan? For August, my sister remind me that's the typhoon period. Is she correct?

    Hi!

    I sailed on the Disney Dream this past January and had no problems riding the AquaDuck and playing in the pools!  However, I did think the water at Castaway Cay was a little cold, but it was still great!  I even went on the AquaDuck late at night and had no problems.  However, I really think it comes down to the individual person.

    You could get a hurricane in August, but peak hurricane season is usually a little bit after August.  Walt Disney World is one of the safest places to be in a hurricane; of course, the cruise ships will sail out of the way of any hurricanes!
