Hi Jennifer, Thanks for your question!
We've stayed in the
Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa with our family of 7. We loved it so much that we purchased a membership in the
Disney Vacation Club, with Saratoga Springs being our "Home" Resort. You'll love the close proximity to
Downtown Disney, as well as the wonderful "High Rock Springs" pool.
Our favorite area of the Resort is called "Congress Park". Many of the rooms have
views of Downtown Disney. In addition, they are just a short walk from
the Carriage House area. I believe it takes us about 5-7 minutes
(leisurely pushing a stroller) to get to the Carriage House which
houses the check-in, High Rock Spring (main) Pool, Spa and Fitness
Center, boat dock, restaurants and more. Congress Park also has a
pedestrian walkway to Downtown Disney and a great pool of its own. Don't forget to schedule some relaxation at the Spa or enjoy a round of golf.
Be sure to make reservations for dinner at the Turf Club Bar and Grill,
it is one of Disney Dining's hidden gems! The meals we've had there are
always fantastic.
The sofa beds are actually
very comfortable. They aren't like a "regular" sofa bed, in that you can't feel the bar across your back. It's very much like sleeping in a bed, and your children will be quite comfortable in it.
Old Key West is also very nice, we just prefer Saratoga Springs instead.
Hope this helps and that you have a Magical Vacation,
Kaylene
