I'm going to the Pirate's League on June 18 and I was wondering if I could wear just a pirate shirt (I'm 19 so I can't wear a full costume because of the age policy) for my makeover?? What would you recommend??

Yo, Ho, Yo, Ho, Jen! Arrrrrg, I be pleased as rum punch to see ya’ back at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I know you’re going to adorrrrrrrgh The Pirate’s League and you’re spot on about your costume idea.

If you search on google “Disneybound Pirate” and look at the images, you’ll see all sorts of billowy shirts and hip scarves that would suit you to wear as an adult. I assume that you’re talking about a puffy pirate shirt and not the T-shirts sold in the Disney Parks, but I think you’ll be ok. If you or your family are carrying a backpack into the parks with you, it’s a smart idea to pack an extra tank top or t-shirt with you in case the Cast Members decide that the shirt is a little too costume-y. As long as you’re not trying to pair costume pants, boots or such with it, and couple the shirt with regular shorts or a skirt, I think you’ll be okay. The last thing you want to do is not be able to enter the park. It’s always better to go safe than sorry as the final decision rests with the Cast Members allowing you into the park and those inside the park.

If we can help further with your upcoming trip, please let us know. We’ll see ya real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
