Im overwhelmed with planning our trip with my husband, two girls (3, 4), mother and father in law. My M.I.L. wants a full day at AK, I have been told we wont need that long. . suggestions on what to do at AK, &should we get hopper pass for that day?

    Hi Erica,

You can easily spend a full day at Disney's Animal Kingdom. However, please keep in mind that this park closes early (typically between 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.). You may want to check out the park hours for that day so that you can plan accordingly.  When I visit Animal Kingdom, upon closing, I usually head over to Downtown Disney, or if another park is open late that same day, I hop over to that park. If you decide to park hop remember that you can visit Guest Services and add that Park Hopper option to your base tickets. You definitely have lots of options!

As for the must see attractions, don’t miss the Boneyard Play area which is filled with carnival type rides your little ones would love! Be sure to have your camera ready when you visit the Kilimanjaro Safaris and Rafiki’s Planet Watch! I have taken awesome close-up pictures of giraffes and elephants! As for the shows, you don’t want to miss “It’s Tough to be a Bug!” located inside the Tree of Life and “Finding Nemo - The Musical”.  If you are a thrill seeker, you definitely have to ride Expedition Everest!

I would be happy to help you with any other questions!

    Happy travels!
