I attended the first
Oogie Boogie Bash of the season last week, and I can assure you that I spotted quite a few ghost hosts sporting name tags! I dressed as Alice from Alice in Wonderland and had the best time interacting with the Villains along the
Treat Trails. Judge Doom was especially amusing when he asked if I had seen any rabbits. I told him I had, just around the corner! His response was priceless!
Eva, have you heard about the new
Madam Leota's Swinging Wake - A Haunted Mansion Street Party? With your costume, you'll fit right in with the happy haunts and grim grinning ghosts roaming the park! We booked the
Dessert Party, and I can officially give it my stamp of approval. If I could crystal-ball one recommendation your way, this would be it!
The street party features a collection of floats inspired by favorite Haunted Mansion spirits, along with an energetic cast of performers who bring the whole experience to afterlife in a delightfully spellbinding way. One important thing to know is that the procession pauses at several designated locations throughout its route so the performers can stop and put on special dance performances.
And one of those locations? Right in front of the Dessert Party reserved seating area! Talk about a perfect view!
We enjoyed comfortable reserved seating, a delicious sweet-and-savory box of treats, a fantastic selection of cocktails and mocktails, and an unbeatable vantage point for all the eerie entertainment. One of my favorite aspects was not having to haunt the curb for an hour or more waiting for the show to begin. That meant more time enjoying the party and less time standing around like a hitchhiking ghost!
One bonus tip: there are front-row low-top tables and second-row high-top tables. Seating assignments are made at check-in. I recommend checking in through the
Disneyland app at least 30 minutes before your reservation time for your best chance at snagging one of the low-top tables. The view is wonderful from either location, and the food is equally delicious, but the front-row tables often receive a little extra interaction from the performers.
