Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes. There is so much to learn about this “whole new world” of vacation planning, especially if you haven’t tried it out yet. Unfortunately, the Genie+ service system will not allow you to book both a Genie+ reservation and an individual lightning lane simultaneously, even if you have two separate accounts. The way the system works, individuals on the same
Family and Friends list or accessing the same account cannot be processed simultaneously. What is likely to happen is that the system will experience a delay in reservations, and the time slot you were trying to book will become unavailable when you go to confirm. I understand your problem, though. You want to get the ideal time slots for both your first Genie+ selection and your Individual lightning lane. My best recommendation would be to reserve your Genie+ selection first (those earlier time slots tend to go fast at 7 am). Immediately after confirming your Genie+ selection, book your Individual Lightning Lane. In my experience, there tends to be a lot more Individual Lightning Lanes availability. With that being said, ultimately, it depends on what your priority attractions are. We are huge Star Wars fans in our home, so on days when we are going to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we will book an Individual Lightning Lane for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance first and then try to get a Genie+ selection Toy Story Mania!
Before I let you go, I highly suggest having at least one other person in your party have their own
My Disney Experience account. In my experience, managing plans from just one account can get a little messy so having at least one other one tends to be easier for managing plans overall.
