Hey there, James! It's a pleasure to have you stop by planDisney. You're a planner after my own heart. Having as much time as possible to prepare for our Disney vacations helps us to be able to budget!
Planning a
Disney trip that far in advance always feels a little tricky because you want to make sure you can get all the reservations you want. From my experience, Disney usually opens their park calendars about 18 months ahead of time, which means the November and December 2026 dates should likely become available anytime now. Of course, Disney doesn’t always give an exact day, so it can be a little unpredictable.
I’ve found it helpful to keep an eye on both the official Disney website and here at planDisney for updates. Once the dates are released, it’s really important to jump in quickly, especially if you’re hoping to visit during the holidays.
For anyone planning ahead like me, I’d also recommend having an idea of the
resorts you’d like to stay at and any
magical extras you want to book, so once the calendar opens, you can reserve everything right away without having to make compromises. It’s a bit of a waiting game, but being prepared makes the whole planning process much less stressful and way more exciting when you finally get to lock in your trip!
Stop by and see us again, James, if you need help deciding on a specific resort. With so many options, we’d love to help you find the one that’s just right for you and your family.
Toodles,
Korliss
