Welcome to planDisney, Emilene! Thanks so much for asking this question. Oh my goodness! I'm so excited for you that you will be at
The Happiest Place on Earth in just one week!!
First, I want to say thank you for your dedication to caring for others as a nurse. I know that it's an incredibly tough job and during Covid, it must have been scary. I'm so happy to hear that you are well now!
Celebrating a birthday at Disneyland Resort always makes it more magical! There are many ways you can celebrate and making an
advanced dining reservation is a great start. Because you are arriving so soon, there might not be as much availability, but it's worth checking! If you are not having much luck now, be sure to check around 24 hours before your desired dining date and time. There is a chance that you will be able to make a dining reservation due to last-minute cancellations. You can also try checking in at the hostess stand at your desired restaurant for availability. If you choose this option, the earlier you can visit the location to check, the better.
There are some other ways to enhance the birthday festivities! You can pre-order a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake to enjoy as part of your celebration, and you can find the details including participating restaurants
here. You can also get a complimentary celebration "Happy Birthday" button at City Hall on
Main Street, U.S.A. in
Disneyland Park, or at Guest Services in
Disney California Adventure Park. I would also recommend capturing the magical memories you're going to make using
Disney PhotoPass Service.
Emilene, ride all of the
attractions, eat all of the snacks, and buy yourself a special souvenir! I'm wishing you the happiest and most magical birthday and many more to come! When you're planning future Disney vacations, please visit us again at
planDisney. We're always happy to help!
Happy Birthday to you!
Lisa
