Im going from Nov 27 to Dec 4 .2011 not sure what to pack and dont want to miss anything ! worried already about the crowieds with my Autisc child . this is my 40th Birthday present ! to spend it with them there !

    Hi Hope:

Happy Birthday. I bet you are in for a fun vacation. Disney World is a popular destination and you'll tend for find crowds most any time of the year. However, Disney World tends to be more crowded when schools are out of session. Since most schools should be in session post-Thanksgiving, you'll likely avoid some of the major Holiday crowds, especially after the first few days of your vacation. Weather in late November generally hovers in the mid-70's but can get crisp. The important tip is to pack layers of clothing in case temperatures suddenly change. Here are some helpful tips on what to pack:
    • Comfortable shoes. The number one tip - bar none. There is so much walking and activity at Disney World that you don't want to be in anything but comfortable shoes.
    • Sunscreen. You don't want to ruin your stay by getting a sunburn.
    • Rain Poncho. The weather in Florida can be interesting. It can rain suddenly and heavily for an hour or two and then clear up the rest of the day. I would be prepared to have your ponchos ready for any unexpected storm. While you can purchase a poncho on property, they are usually cheaper when bought at home and are easy to transport.
    • Appropriate clothing for hot, warm, and cool temperatures. Temperatures can change quickly.
    • A small backpack, purse, or tote.
    • Autograph book and pen for character meet and greets.
    • Sunglasses.
    • Bathing suits.
    • Identification.
    • Chargers for your phone or other electronics.
    • Diapers and other baby supplies if you have a little one. You can find diapers for sale on property, but it may not be the right size.
    • An extra bag to transport your souvenirs home.

The good news is that there are few "must haves" that you can't find on Disney World property should you forget something.
