Hello Susan!
I had a little chuckle when I read your question, because I took 3 of my daughters to
afternoon tea at the Garden View Tea Room at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa last month. I don't drink tea or coffee, and I think I may have puzzled our server. She was very kind and offered me coffee or a variety of soft drinks and juices. I asked her if I could have chocolate milk like my daughters, and at first, I don't think she knew what to say. She noticed all of our grinning faces, and said, "Absolutely." Then I saw that she had a huge smile on her face when she brought out many tea pots full of chocolate milk.
My girls and I had the best time! So to answer your question, yes, you can request a different beverage. The price remains the same, but the food is outstanding. The company and the ambiance make this experience unforgettable. One of my friends and fellow Moms Panelists, Jane, is from the UK. It was fun to talk to my girls about her family and traditions, and just have girl time to chat and relax. We all wore sundresses, used our best table manners, and laughed and giggled the whole time. That chocolate milk could not have been tastier even if Mrs. Potts herself had poured it for us.
If you have any other questions, please come back and see us real soon at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Have a magical time at the Garden View Tea Room!
