Hi, Maya!
While Disney Parks are known for offering the ultimate in family-friendly entertainment, there is certainly no shortage of thrill rides for the adventure-seekers like you!
Space Mountain in Disneyland Park is on my must-do list of exciting attractions. You’ll board a rocket for a high-speed indoor roller coaster ride through space!
Although it’s closed for refurbishment until mid-fall of 2013, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is another of my favorites. Climb aboard a runaway mine train on this thrill ride through the Old West, which is known as "the wildest ride in the wilderness!"
Disney California Adventure Park is the home of my favorite thrill ride—The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. It’s not a roller coaster, but it is one of the most exhilarating and elaborately-themed attractions in the parks. If you dare, enter the once-glamorous Hollywood Tower Hotel and board a haunted service elevator for a heart-stopping adrenaline rush filled with unexpected drops!
No thrill-seeker’s visit to Disney California Adventure Park is complete without a ride on
California Screamin’, the longest and fastest roller coaster at the Disneyland Resort. It may look like the wooden coasters built nearly 100 years ago, but it’s actually a steel structure that blasts Guests up a steep initial incline to almost 120 feet in the air before plunging down and around Paradise Bay, including an upside-down loop-de-loop!
I hope this is helpful, Maya, and that your Disneyland Resort visit is full of exciting adventures! Please write back with any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
