I'm not staying at a WDW Resort, so I need to drive and park. I'm starting at AK. Will I be able to move to the other parks through Disney Transportation and leave my car at AK all day? Or does the AK parking close earlier than others?

Hi Deborah, and welcome to planDisney! Your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is just a few days away! After only a few more sleeps, you’ll be looking up at the beautiful Tree of Life or maybe even strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. Let's get right to your question, so you can get to packing!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park generally closes earlier than each of the other three parks, which means transportation to and from the park also ends earlier. For example, if you check out park hours for next week when you’ll be visiting, some days Animal Kingdom closes as many as four hours before other parks. Buses will usually stop running to and from the theme parks one hour after park closing. With that in mind, you would not be able to take a Disney bus back to Animal Kingdom after park closing at the other three theme parks.

Here’s some good news! When you pay for parking at a Disney theme park, you can park at any of the other theme parks on the same day at no additional charge. Since you can move your car at no extra cost, your best plan will be to drive to the next theme park and park there. Depending on how many parks you plan to visit that day, Magic Kingdom Park closes last every night next week, so you could park there and not need to move your car again.

Deborah, I hope this gives you a good game plan for parking your car and then hurrying off to enjoy all of the magic in the parks. If you have any more questions, stop back by and see me. I’m here to help make sure your trip is “practically perfect in every way!”

    Your pal,
    Casey
