Bright suns and welcome to the Grid, Burnie. Thank you for reaching out to planDisney with your question.
There are so many unique experiences throughout the
Walt Disney World Resort and the two you are interested in are definitely among them. A visit to
Savi's Workshop in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at
Disney's Hollywood Studios gives the term "immersive" a whole new meaning. You get to build your own lightsaber with the help of the "Gatherers." You can even choose your hilt theme as you build your lightsaber and prepare to live your own
Star Wars story! And then there's the experience I'll be doing on my next trip: making my own customized action figure through the
TRON Identity Program in
Magic Kingdom Park. Such a special way to commemorate your time on the Grid while riding
TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise!
If you are not staying at
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you will try to make a reservation 60 days before each experience. So, you'll make a reservation for your lightsaber experience at 6 a.m. EST 60 days before you want to visit Savi's Workshop. You'll also make your action figure reservation at the same time 60 days before you'd like to visit the TRON Identity Program. I always recommend that you are ready to make these reservations about 15 minutes before as they sometimes go live a little earlier (and sometimes a little later).
If you are not able to make those reservations 60 days prior, don't give up! Reservations may open up as your vacation gets closer as some people will change their plans, cancel, and then those reservations are opened up for other Guests to book.
If you love your time on the Grid, you'll also love the other thrills awaiting you at the resort. Some of my favorites are
Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park,
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in
EPCOT. No matter what kind of thrill you are looking for, the Walt Disney World Resort has got you covered!
If you have any other questions, please feel free to
reach out to me. I'm always happy to help!
Some things are worth the risk,
Matt
