I'm not staying on disney and was wondering what other ways could I take part in the extra magic hours? (I thought with a disney visa card that it would be possible?)

Hi there Courtney, thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You have got to be so excited for your magical vacation to begin in just a few days!

Extra Magic Hours are a magical way to begin or end any day at a Disney Theme Park. This is a perk that is reserved for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. These privileges are also extended to guests staying at select Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels. Theme park admission and Resort ID are required. A Cast Member will check your MagicBand or card to verify that you are a Disney Resort hotel guest. Unfortunately, Disney Visa® cardholders do not have access to Extra Magic Hours if they are not staying on Disney property.

I love my Disney Visa® Card. The force is strong with my purchases because Darth Vader is on my card. There are a number of perks that come with being a cardholder while visiting Disney Parks. There are discounts on shopping and dining that you can take advantage of. But my favorite thing about being a Disney Visa® Cardholder is the exclusive character experience photo opportunities with a free PhotoPass® download. You will need to present your card to enter the private cardmembers only area. You will meet some of your favorite Disney characters in Epcot at the private cardmember photo spot. There is also a private cardmember location that will allow you to meet some of your favorite Star Wars characters at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Enjoy your magical trip and see ya real soon,
