Hello, I’m not staying at a Disney resort, but wondering can I take a Disney bus to The Grand Floridian to see the Gingerbread house at Christmas 2024. Is it free to ride the Disney bus?

Hi there Kevin, welcome to planDisney!

While I love to visit Walt Disney World Resort any time of the year, my favourite time is when the Theme Parks, Disney Resorts Collection Hotels and Disney Springs are decorated for the Christmas season. You are going to love seeing the Gingerbread displays and smelling the gingerbread cookies! There are Gingerbread displays at various resorts including Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort to name a few. Guests who are visiting during the Holiday season should try and visit!

Kevin, I have great news for you: Walt Disney World Transportation is complimentary and is accessible to all Guests, not only to those who are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. My family loves to ride the various types of transportation offered at Walt Disney World Resort. You can view the parks from above and discover the Disney Skyliner with stops either at theme parks or at select Disney Resort hotels, say “all aboard” and hop on the Walt Disney World Monorail Transportation while experiencing the "public transport of the future", enjoy a relaxing cruise on a water launch or ferry boat with Walt Disney World Water Transportation or sit back and ride on the Walt Disney World Bus Service

Since you’ll be visiting Walt Disney Resort during the Holiday season, I recommend visiting Disney Springs and go on the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll. You’ll discover a collection of beautifully decorated Christmas trees while you explore Disney Springs. You might even find a new favourite decorated Christmas tree!

I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning, Kevin. If you have any other planning questions, please visit planDisney again!

    Cheers,
    Candace
