I'm not staying at a Disney property when I visit. Can I still link my magicband to a credit card and use the band to make purchases?

    Hi Brandie,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I know you must be excited for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

Because you don't plan to stay in a Disney Resort Hotel, you will be unable to use your MagicBand as a form of payment. This is due to the fact that no financial information is stored on a MagicBand. As a Disney Resort Hotel Guest, purchases can be made with a MagicBand because they are essentially being charged to the account on file for the Guest.

That said, you can still enjoy using your MagicBand for park admission, entry into FastPass+ entrances, and to connect your Disney PhotoPass photos to your My Disney Experience account. I think you will love it!

Thanks so much for your question, Brandie. Wishing you a magical vacation!

    Happy planning,
