Howdy, Kimberly! Welcome to planDisney.
Are you counting down the days until your Walt Disney World vacation? I bet the excitement is building with each passing day. Mickey and his pals have so much EARidescent magic for you to experience for the
50th Anniversary Celebration. I recently had the privilege of visiting Walt Disney World and I was mesmerized by the
Beacons of Magic on display throughout each of the Theme Parks (Spaceship Earth in EPCOT was my favorite). I was also left grinning from EAR to EAR after riding
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. However, the highlight was watching the new, nighttime spectacular,
Harmonious. What an explosion of Disney joy!
One of the things recently introduced to help Guests maximize the magic is
Disney Genie+. You've never had a friend like this, Kimberly. This service enables you to select Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions throughout the Theme Parks. There are two ways to purchase this service. One way is to purchase Disney Genie+ for the entirety of your visit. To do this, you'll need to call "
Existing Tickets" and speak directly to a Cast Member. They can make those wishes come true.
Another option (and one I prefer because it offers more flexibility) is to purchase these "phenomenal cosmic powers" on a day-to-day basis. You can do this really easily on the My Disney Experience App. On the day of your visit, open up the app, click on the three lines at the bottom right corner of your screen, and then select "My Genie Day." There should be an option in purple that says "Get Disney Genie+ for Today." Once you select it, you'll find a list of all the people in your party that you've added via My Friends & Family. Select the members of your party that will use this service and then make your purchase. The reason I like this option, Kimberly, is that you might not want Disney Genie+ on certain days. For example, many Guests feel like they can enjoy their desired attractions at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park without the aid of Disney Genie+. So this second option could save you money.
Whatever you decide to do, I hope you have a magical time! Make sure you ride
Avatar Flight of Passage and
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. I'd love to know which one you prefer!
ChEARS!
Mike
