Hey there, Becky!
Welcome back to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with another question about your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You'll be visiting during the most magical time of the year - are you counting down the days yet!?
Becky, I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulty making a payment using the Walt Disney World Resort website. Planning a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth should be an exciting experience, so let's see if we can get this issue resolved together! First, we need to figure out whether you've booked your
Disney Resort hotel as part of a
vacation package or a room-only reservation. If your trip was booked as a room-only reservation, you will have been charged a deposit equal to your first night's stay at the time of booking, and the remaining balance will be due at the time of check-in at your Disney Resort hotel. In this case, you will not see the option to "Make a Payment" listed in the section titled "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" in your
My Disney Experience account.
Alternatively, if you booked your visit as a vacation package and purchased
theme park tickets and your Resort hotel reservation in the same transaction, you'll have been charged a $200 deposit at the time of booking and should see the "Make a Payment" option listed. If you're unsure about your booking type and don't want to make a phone call, you can reach out to friendly Cast Members using the Chat feature on the Walt Disney World Resort website or in the
My Disney Experience mobile app for confirmation. It's quick, easy to use, and my favorite method of communication during the Disney vacation planning process!
Now, Becky, if you're certain that you booked your trip as a vacation package and you're still not given the option to make a payment online, first, I encourage you to ensure your web browser version is up to date. This is a common cause of
payment plan technical difficulties. If your web browser isn't the problem, then I recommend reaching out to the helpful Cast Members at the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone line for additional troubleshooting assistance.
I hope this information helps you to streamline your vacation planning process, Becky. Just think: soon enough, you'll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. under the glow of twinkling holiday lights! If available during your visit, I recommend checking out
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party if you have the chance. When else can you see snowfall in
Magic Kingdom Park!? Becky, if you have any additional planning questions, please stop back by planDisney again. We're here to help you make the most of your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Warm wishes,
Lauren
