Hi Kacey!
Well, dining at Disney World is a treat! You can find anything you want!
For your pre-race meal, I would go with some type of a bland pasta. If you are wanting to eat in a park, Epcot has some great Italian restaurants. I love
Via Napoli. Any place that serves spaghetti would work too. Your best bet is to practice what you plan to eat on the nights before your long training runs and then make sure it agrees with your belly!
Be sure to check with your doctor about this one, but fellow moms panelist and family doctor, Laura Munkel, advised me to take Imodium AD on the night before a race and the morning of the race. It has really made a difference in my stomach issues!
For your post race meal, I would check out all of the
restaurants at Downtown Disney. There is something for everyone, so you should pick what you like best. I LOVE Paradiso 37 and Raglan Road...but they are all really good. T best part about Downtown Disney is that you can experience all the Disney magic, but don't need a ticket to go!
Another family favorite is
'Ohana at the Polynesian Resort. If you go there, be sure to save room for the Bread Pudding!
Please let me know if you have any other questions! Good luck with your training!
