I'm not a DVC member, how do I book a villa in early Dec 2024?

    Hiya, Jeffrey!

Welcome to planDisney!  How exciting that you are hoping to book a Disney Vacation Club Villa for your upcoming stay in December 2024.  Jeffrey, staying in a Villa affords you all the benefits of a home away from home, while the magic of Disney is just around the riverbend.  Villas include full-sized kitchens, full of gadgets and gizmos a plenty, extra room for sleeping and gathering, and my personal favorite, an in-room washer and dryer which means you can pack less and have more room for those Disney souvenirs.

Jeffrey, I spoke with a Cast Member who confirmed they are now booking rooms and packages through December 31, 2024.  However, the Deluxe Villa Resorts are still showing as unavailable.  I was informed that typically, for cash-paying Guests, these become available around six months in advance of your check-in date.   Disney Vacation Club Members have the option to book their Home Resort beginning 11 months in advance and all other DVC Resorts can be booked seven months in advance by Members.  After this, the Villas then become available to cash-paying/non-DVC Members.

You can check back around June 2024 to see if any two-bedroom Deluxe Villas become available for your desired dates. In the meantime, I would recommend securing another location, and you might be interested in one of the Club Level Rooms. Here you won't have a kitchen and laundry, but you will have access to the Club Level floor which includes light breakfasts, mid-day snacks, hors d'oeuvres and treats in the evening, and a floor-level concierge.  If you choose to do this, here are the cancellation policies in case you choose to do this while waiting to see if your preferred two-bedroom Deluxe Villa becomes available.

For a Disney Vacation Package, which includes a Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation and Theme Park Tickets, you can cancel your reservation without penalty 30 or more days before your arrival date. Reservations canceled inside the 30-day window are assessed a $200 cancellation fee - which basically means that you will be refunded any monies paid but won’t receive your deposit back. Finally, if you cancel the day before your arrival, you forfeit the full package price.

If you book a Disney Resorts Collection hotel room-only reservation, there are no cancellation fees assessed as long as you cancel 5 days or more before your arrival.

When June 2024 gets closer, visit the Walt Disney World website and be sure and log into your My Disney Experience account. Then, follow these steps to check for a two-bedroom Villa:

    • Scroll to "Places To Stay" on the top Menu bar.
    • Select "Deluxe Villas."  You can go through here to see which Resorts have Villas.
    • Once you find one that you like, you can check availability and book it.
Now, my big tip, Jeffrey, is if you find that a two-bedroom Villa is not yet available, continue to try back as there is a good chance it will become available in the future.  Often Guests' plans change and two-bedroom Villas become available.

I hope this helps you, Jeffrey. If you have any additional Disney vacation planning questions, stop back and see me and I'll be so happy to help you make the dream that you wish come true!

    See ya real soon!
