I'm not Christian. Will I feel awkward with all the Christmas decorations at Disney in December? Is the Candlelight processional at Epcot appropriate for someone like me?

    Hi Lara:

Disney World Theme Parks and Resorts are decorated for the Holidays during November, December and a tiny bit of January.  The vast majority of the decorations are geared towards Christmas but don't have a noticeable religious aspect.  For example, you'll see a lot of Christmas trees, ornaments, ribbons, gingerbread men, snowmen, Santa hats, and hear a lot of standard Christmas music.  To me, a religious aspect is not really noticeable. The decorations are very standard Holiday decorations.

The Candlelight Processional is different as it has a definitive religious aspect to the show.  The show is the story of Christmas accompanied by an inspirational orchestra, chorus and celebrity narrator.  The show lasts about 45 minutes.  I find the show joyous, but if that sounds like it may make you feel awkward, considering the time and money commitment, I would consider skipping the show.

    Enjoy your vacation.
