If I'm not anticipating purchasing Park Hopper for Disney World tickets, to purchase and book rides in advance under the Lightning Lane Multi Passes I would be determining ahead of time what specific parks we would be visiting and what dates, correct?

Welcome to planDisney, Dustin! It looks like you'll be celebrating the start of a new year at the Most Magical Place on Earth - I can't imagine a more enchanting way to welcome 2025!

With the recent transition to the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass System, Guests are now able to plan in advance which parks and attractions they would like to experience during their visits and secure Lightning Lane entrances for 3 attractions up to 7 days ahead of their visit! Because the new system focuses on preplanning your attractions, you will need to decide ahead of time which specific Theme Park you will be visiting on each date to make the best selections for your group ahead of time. The great news, though, is that if your plans change you can always modify the selections you have made in the My Disney Experience mobile app to align with your new itinerary, subject to availability.

Dustin, to help you make the most of this new system, I would recommend checking out which attractions offer Lightning Lane Multi Pass access and which attractions offer Lightning Lane Single Pass. You are able to book your 3 Multi Pass attractions and up to 2 Single Pass attractions starting at 7 AM EST 7 days in advance of your check-in if you will be staying as a Guest at a Disney Resort hotel. On this day, you will be eligible to book for the entire length of your stay, up to 14 days. If you will be staying off-site, you will become eligible for booking your attractions 3 days in advance at 7 AM EST.

While this may seem like a lot to plan for at one time, once you make your selections, there's nothing left to do but show up and enjoy your attractions! Remember that once you have redeemed your first Lightning Lane of the day, you will be eligible to make another selection, pending availability. I'm looking forward to one less task on my early morning to-do list and heading to the parks with my selections already lined up for a magical day!

Dustin, I hope this is helpful and I hope you have a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any other planning questions, come on back to planDisney and let us know! We're always happy to help!

    See you in 2025,
    Alison
