Hi Tracey,
I'm so excited for you and your teenagers for your upcoming vacation! You guys are going to have such a wonderful time enjoying lots of fun around the Walt Disney World Resort!
I generally encourage Guests to head to the theme parks first thing in the morning since that's when you can experience the smallest crowds, but with teenagers, you may want to try a different approach. Teenagers are generally more "night owl-ish" than "early bird-ish." Since the
water parks open later than the theme parks, you may want to head there first. You can still enjoy the smaller crowds at opening, but it doesn't have to be
as early in the morning. I'd definitely still encourage you to arrive before the water park opens so that you'll be some of the first Guests in the water park and can grab lounge chairs with a bit of shade and enjoy the attractions without long waits. After enjoying a few hours of sunshine and splashes, you could schedule your
FastPass+ selections to begin a little bit later in the day and visit the theme parks in the afternoon and evening. Of course if you have an evening where the theme parks close earlier and you all get to bed at a decent time, you could try to hit a theme park early that next morning!
Are you staying at a Disney Resort hotel? If you are, I'd definitely encourage you to take advantage of
Extra Magic Hours as you'll love enjoying smaller crowds and shorter wait times.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Please let us know if you have any other questions, Tracey, and have a magical vacation!
