Hi. I’m a new magic key holder but live in Idaho. If I make park reservations but we need to change the days because of flight, am I able to do so? And how soon do I have to change those reservations before they can’t be changed? Thank you!

Greetings, Kerstin, and welcome to planDisney. First of all, congratulations on getting a Magic Key pass! There's nothing quite like visiting the Disneyland Resort knowing that you'll be able to return again and again. As a Magic Key holder, I have a lot of experience with the reservation system, and am happy to share some information to get you started!

Depending on which pass you have, you can hold between two and six reservations at a time, and dates are available to reserve on a rolling basis as far as 90 days out. If your plans change, Hakuna Matata! You have until 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time the day before a reservation to modify or cancel it. If you don't visit the park on a day you have a reservation for, you'll receive a no-show. After getting a third no-show in a 90-day period, you won't be able to make or modify reservations for 30 days. Just make sure to keep track of your reservations and adjust accordingly.

Hopefully, the fact that you have until just before midnight to update your reservation for the next day will give you the flexibility you need with traveling from out of state. Even if your flight is delayed, as long as you enter the park before it closes for the night, you will be fine. And a no-show is really only a problem if it's your third one in that 90-day window.

Kerstin, did you know that, with a Magic Key annual pass, you can generally park hop after 11 a.m.? If you're arriving at the Disneyland Resort after 11 a.m., you can enter either park (subject to availability), regardless of which is reflected on your reservation.

And don't forget: throughout the year, there may be exclusive opportunities for Magic Key holders, which you can learn about in the Magic Key Portal on the Disneyland mobile app or on the website. Follow the Disneyland account on Instagram and check out the Disney Parks Blog to stay in the know about news, seasonal highlights, and more.

Kerstin, I'd like to wish you the most magical year as an annual passholder. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.

    Safe travels and happy adventures,
    Kriss
