I'm a new DVC member reading your panel, trying to learn about DVC & have a lot of questions! First, what is the CASH option? I've seen members ask this but what does it mean exactly? Thank you! I'm learning a lot from all of you!

    Hi Melissa,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  I am glad that you are finding this panel to be a helpful place to learn about Disney Vacation Club!

When Disney Vacation Club Members use the term "cash," they are generally using it as slang for a Disney vacation paid for by means other than Disney Vacation Club Vacation Points.  Therefore, I tend to think that "cash" could really refer to cash or credit card.  Sometimes, Disney Vacation Club will be able to offer special rates on the "cash" price of rooms at Disney Vacation Club resorts to Disney Vacation Club members.  If you want to take vacations above and beyond what your Vacation Points can cover in a year, you can call Disney Vacation Club Member Services to see if there are any rates currently offered for "cash" stays.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Melissa.  If you have any more questions related to Disney Vacation Club as you continue to read about it on the Disney Parks Moms Panel, please do ask us!  We are here to help you make the most of your magical membership.
