Hey there, Skye! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you've stopped by with such a great planning question. I love chatting Disney with my pals, pal!
Before you know it, you'll be embarking on your magical adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth. Eeeeek! That
is so exciting, and I'm thrilled for you, Skye! For me, one of the most important parts of a Disney vacation (or any vacation for that matter) is the food, and since your dining reservations are booked, it sounds as if your planning is off to a practically perfect start. Now, let's tie up your loose planning ends so you can sit back, relax and start your pixie-dusted countdown!
I think you will be happy to hear that the credit card you used to book your
Advance Dining Reservations is simply used as a placeholder for your reservation and will not automatically be charged to pay for your meal. You can absolutely choose to pay your dining bill with cash or Disney Gift Cards at the end of your incredible dining experience.
The only way the credit card linked to the dining reservation will be charged is if you no-show or fail to cancel your reservation according to the restaurant's cancellation policy. Many of the restaurants now have a two-hour cancellation policy, but I recommend checking each reservation's cancellation policy on the restaurant's webpage on the
Walt Disney World website to be sure. If you cancel less than two hours before your reservation, the placeholder card will be charged $10 per person (prices and policies are subject to change).
Speaking of my favorite topic (Disney dining), did you know that the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will be in full bloom during your visit?! The
fest food is as beautiful as it is delicious and as bright as the fresh spring flavors. It is sure to be one of the magical highlights of your adventure. Bon appetit!
I hope this was helpful, Skye, and I hope you have the most magical, memorable and delicious upcoming vacation! Please feel free to stop by any time with any questions you may have. You've got a friend in me!
See ya real soon,
Mandy
